Help Protect Australia’s Oceans

Demand stronger protections for our oceans and halt destructive practices like seismic blasting

Australia’s oceans have the most diverse life on Earth. But for how long? If new seismic blasting proposals are allowed to go ahead by the Australian government, seismic blasting could take place in marine parks that provide critical breeding and feeding habitats for some of the most important and endangered marine life. Seismic blasting is deadly for marine life. It can impact all levels of the food chain from its very foundations, killing zooplankton more than a kilometer away and deafening whales. Devastatingly, a deaf whale is a dead whale. The Australian government must save our marine life and climate by abolishing the Special Prospecting Authority permits that lead to some of the worst seismic blasting in our oceans.
